A comparative study of generative models, a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) and a Variational Autoencoder (VAE), against a classical Hidden Markov Model (HMM) for early detection of failures in medical devices. We use Data-Driven Digital Twins for predictive and preventive maintenance in complex electro-mechanical medical devices.
